Dr. Ben Johnson

Dr. Ben Johnson is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (ICCSP) at Nashville Chiropractic & Sports Therapy. His goal is to provide the best patient experience possible through the use of manual manipulation, soft tissue work, and rehabilitative exercises. Dr. Johnson strives to set himself apart from the other more traditional chiropractors in the area. His aim is to become a leading provider and go-to physician for musculoskeletal pain, family health, and athletic injuries.

Dr. Johnson is the team chiropractor for the Tennessee Titans. As a lifelong athlete, he has a passion for treating athletes and has experienced a variety of injuries that he commonly treats. He aims to make Nashville Chiropractic & Sports Therapy a trusted location for injury treatment and prevention in the Nashville area.  

Dr. Johnson grew up in Memphis, TN.  After high school he attended the University of Tennessee where he earned a degree in Biochemistry, Cellular, and Molecular Biology.  Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Johnson attended Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO where he earned a Doctorate in Chiropractic and Masters degree in Sports Science and Rehabilitation.  

In his free time, Dr. Johnson enjoys playing sports of all types, and playing and listening to music. He also enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and camping with his wife, Lauren, daughter, Elin, and son, Vaughn.

Dr. Lauren Johnson

Dr. Lauren Calabra Johnson is a graduate of Logan University in St. Louis, MO, where she earned both a Doctorate of Chiropractic and a Masters degree in Sports Science and Rehabilitation.  Prior to her graduate school training, she earned her Bachelors degree in Kinesiology at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. 

Dr. Lauren enjoys working with people from all walks of life by evaluating a range of concerns from athletic injuries to general discomfort. Treatments can consists of chiropractic manipulation, manual therapy, functional training, neuromuscular re-education, and injury rehab. Dr. Lauren loves to educate patients on their diagnosis and treatment options, and offer lifestyle advice to help reach patient’s goals for recovery and pain free movement.

In addition to being a Chiropractic Physician, Dr Lauren is an accomplished athlete, primarily in the track and field sports.  She is very involved in Nashville’s running community and hopes to be a valuable resource to athletes of all types.  

Dr. Lauren and her husband, Dr. Ben Johnson, reside in East Nashville with their daughter, Elin and son, Vaughn.

Dr. Nick Rice

Dr. Nick Rice graduated with his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Logan University. Before his time at Logan, he studied Athletic Training at Northern Illinois University, and became a Certified Athletic Trainer. Dr. Nick has spent time treating athletes in multiple Division I athletics programs including Northern Illinois, Valparaiso, and University of Memphis.

Dr. Nick provides a wide variety of care to his patients including chiropractic manipulation, manual therapy, dry needling, selective functional movement assessment (SFMA) and injury rehabilitation. He enjoys caring for patients with a majority of musculoskeletal complaints by focusing on improving their function. Dr. Nick also offers at home care strategies, lifestyle changes, and patient education to help achieve each patient’s individual goals.

Treating patients is not Dr. Nicks only passion. His free time is often spent playing card games or sports, as long as someone is keeping score. He also enjoys taking care of his pet gecko and axolotl.

Ronnie Grant

Ronnie is a licensed massage therapist who joined Nashville Chiropractic at the close of 2021.

He graduated at the top of his class from the Mind Body Institute in Nashville, TN. His main area of interest lies with Functional Range Systems, also called FR or FRS. This system was designed to assess any limitations in tissue & movement and provide targeted solutions to maximize and maintain movement capacity and capability. He currently holds his FRCms, FRA, and FR-R Upper Limb which he obtained by way of Functional Anatomy Seminars and plans to continue on the FR path of certifications.

Ronnie was born on Long Island and spent his early years exploring a variety of sports. He has stayed connected to the arenas of martial arts (Muay Thai & BJJ), snowboarding, and skateboarding. Ronnie loves to learn and is particularly interested in languages and travel. He also loves to watch soccer, collect tattoos, and play music. The top three places he wants to visit next are the Faroe Islands, Japan, and Hawaii.

Ali Orstrom

Ali, a Nashville native, graduated from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She joined our team in April 2023. Ali is a grandma at heart and loves all things cozy; cats, knitting, cold weather, tea, fuzzy blankets, candles. Sweaters, pumpkins and socks are among the projects she enjoys making most. When not at the office, you can find her volunteering with cats weekly or hanging out with her closest friends at a farmer's market.

As our office manager, getting to connect with patients on a personal level is one of her favorite aspects of her position, while making the patient experience run as smooth as possible.

Dr. Abby Daunis

Dr. Abby Daunis is a physical therapist who specializes in orthopedics and pelvic floor.  She earned her doctorate from Texas Woman's University, School of Physical Therapy in 2013.  She has worked as an outpatient physical therapist since that time. She is certified in dry needling, Kinesiotaping, SFMA level 1, and USATF level 1. She has been providing pelvic floor PT since 2023, after completing coursework with Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute.

Dr. Abby has a love for endurance sports. She is a runner and triathlete. She has completed three marathons and multiple half-marathons, 10Ks, and 5Ks.  She competes in triathlons ranging from sprint distance to Half Iron Man distance. After giving birth to her first child, Dr. Abby recognized she personally had many questions about how to safely return to sport. This led her to pursue continuing education courses in pelvic floor PT. She now thoroughly enjoy helping other moms safely return to exercise in the postpartum period.

When she is not working, Dr. Abby enjoys training, searching for a good cup of coffee, spending time outdoors with friends, or finding the best park to explore with her family.

Juan Soto

Juan is a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach who began his journey in the fitness industry after studying Psychology. He earned his PN1-NC certification through Precision Nutrition and later completed his CPT through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. His coaching focuses on habit formation and a holistic approach to help clients of all backgrounds perform at their best for the long haul. Juan works with individuals through 1-on-1 sessions, group classes, and workshops, emphasizing connection and adherence to make the process enjoyable.

Originally from Port Washington, NY, Juan built his foundation in the gym and developed a strong interest in movement and strength training. He’s spent most of his life in action and organized sports, especially skateboarding, snowboarding, baseball, and volleyball. A lifelong New York Mets fan, he also has a deep love for music—particularly Japanese dance tracks and video game soundtracks
